Ruta Lendraityte Utalla is a Lithuanian designer, working in theatre and film, graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts with a Master’s degree in Costume Design. Working in the world of design, she has

created a number of original collections and contributed to numerous productions. Senior Designer at Aderlita. Winner of the biggest fashion event “Fashion Infection” in Lithuania, a member of ADC*E Art directors club of Europe.

The designs by Utalla serve as the new luxury (silence, stillness, emptiness, time) by applying slow fashion processes. Each product goes through a long creative process before it reaches the public. The designs are long-lasting and made from natural, recycled or residual fabrics. The works of art ask

for conscious consumption. Each product is developed on the basis of the psychological needs of various groups. Utalla is a part of a close-knit community of Lithuanian designers, a member of the Lithuanian Design Association (LDA), working towards a sustainable design future.

Each member of the Utalla team is engaged in their favourite activity – seamstresses, designers, makers - discovering their own vocation. Stress and overwork do not exist in the production and creation process. Everyone works in a calm environment without any additional stress.
