A humble yet highly talented fashion designer, Ahmed graduated from ESMOD Paris, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious fashion schools, founded in 1841 by Alexis Lavigne. His education in Paris laid the foundation for a design language that combines technical excellence with cultural depth.

Ahmed is currently the only male fashion designer in Djibouti, a distinction he carries with both pride and responsibility. He is deeply committed to his country and to the impact his work has had in elevating Djiboutian fashion on an international level. Equally important to him is his role as a husband and father of three, which grounds his creative vision and values.

Based between Djibouti and France, Ahmed frequently travels to France, where he designs for international models and continues to develop his craft. He is widely recognized in Djibouti for his creative, refined, and contemporary designs, and for being a pioneer in professional fashion education within the country.

For Ahmed, fashion is a source of balance and purpose. He takes great pride in being the first designer from Djibouti to attend a formal fashion school, opening doors for future generations of creatives.

“My country is Djibouti, in East Africa, between Somalia and Ethiopia, facing Yemen. This region has been marked by tragedies such as civil war, famine, and exile—but human dignity and hope remain,” says Ahmed Houssein Djibah.

His brand, AHDJIBAH, is defined by a sophisticated, timeless, and poetic aesthetic—reflecting resilience, elegance, and the quiet strength of identity.
