Rumah Rakuji or Rakuji House is a Shelter for Indonesian Culture, Art and Crafts.
Our goal is Transforming Indonesian Craft from Indigeneous to Marvellous.
Created in 2002, Rumah Rakuji consistently works in a mission to promote, variety of traditional Indonesian Crafts, mostly made of eco-friendly and natural material & dyes, by artisans from Indonesia’s border-remote-regions and the grassroot artisans.
The prominance of Indonesian craft lies on its artistic-attractiveness, skillfull and quality of workmanship, creativity and sensibility in material selection which then forming a style, colour and texture that seems eternal, making them unique in nature.

I. ECO-FIBRE CRAFTS :
1.1.FIBRE CLOTH, Contemporary Ulap Doyo Woven: innovative fibre doyo (Curculigo latifolia leaves) textiles woven (available more features for fashionware). The handwoven is produced by the Dayak Benuaq Tribe (Artisans Group TUNAS MEKAR BATUBURA, Tanjung Isuy Village- Jempang District, Kutai Barat Region of East Kalimantan).
1.2. RATTAN PLAITTED WITH BEADS DECORATION made by The Dayak Aoheng tribe (East Kalimantan)
1.3.PLAITED ‘BEMBAN’ CRAFT, renowned as The Plaited Art of Kings due to its exquisiteness , made by The Dayak Iban Tribe (Kenasau Village, Jongkong District in Lake of Sentarum in West Kalimantan ).
1.4.PLAITED KEBON BRONAI CRAFT, renowned as The Crazy Plaited Art due to its uniqueckness , made by The Dayak Iban Tribe (NANGA NYABAU Village of Kapuas Hulu Region)
1.5.KENDA PLAITED DOUBLE LONTAR LEAVES CRAFTS from the Indigeneous ARTISANS live at The PALUE ISLAND (Volcanic Mountain island 6 hours from Maumere – Flores, in NTT).
II. ECO TRADISIONAL TEXTILES :
2.1.TRADISIONAL TEXTILES OF DAYAK IBAN KAPUAS HULU : Ikat , Sidan, Sungkit, Pileh
2.2. Tradisional Ikat Textile of NANGAHURE/MBOLASO, Sikka Region, and PALUE ISLAND, Flores, NTT.
2.3. Variaty of Tradisional Textile of TOBA - North Sumatera (Ulos), East Sumba (Pahikung and Ikat), SABU Island.
2.4. Traditional Cloth ULAP DOYO of Dayak Benuaq, Tanjung Isuy, East Kalimantan
III. ECO-FASHION PRODUCT : Batik, woven, fibre woven, plaited matt

made by The Grass root Artisans, for example Ikat Tenun of Nangahore, Sikka Region of Flores and Belu Region of TIMOR. Ulos Harungguan/Sibolang of Vilages in Muara North Tapanuli, North Sumatera; Double Ikat Gringsing using spunsilk &messerized yarns, Kampung Tenganan Bali; Contemporer Batik of Central East Jawa Island.
